Urban Decay Decides Not to Sell in China- SOLD TO ANIMAL TESTERS L’OREAL.

Here’s the latest from Urban Decay. Their choice not to sell in China means that they continue to be cruelty free and still have some 100% vegan, cruelty free products, as noted by a paw print on the packaging. I’m glad they’ve chosen to listen to their customers. Of course, one might wish they never considered animal testing in the first place, but there you have it.

UPDATE: Urban Decay Cosmetics was purchased by Urban Decay.

While L’Oreal claims that the Urban Decay animal testing policy will not change, L’Oreal USA does continue to partake in animal testing. In my opinion, it is inevitable that the money you give to Urban Decay, will go to L’Oreal, an unethical company.

So I don’t understand: does Urban Decay test on animals or not? This article says no, and your other article on the homepage says yes. Is there a definitive answer?

There’s no date on your posts… how can I tell if this was before or after the video you posted? I’ve never been to this site before but I’m excited to see what my options are for cruelty free makeup!

Hi! I know that this post is about Urban Decay but since I haven’t found any posts on Clarins I thought I would share with you the reply I got from them just today:

“We confirm that Clarins products haven’t been tested on animals for many years. Safety controls are realized on cell culture, following the so called alternative methods, validated by experts. Besides these cell culture methods, the safety of our proucts is guaranteed by the perfect knowledge of the raw materials used and, of course, by tests conducted on human volunteers. Clarins has chosen not to appear on any cruelty-free list because we think it’s not fair to choose a certain label instead of another (LAV, PETA, etc.)”

I’m sorry if there are any mistakes, I’ve translated it from italian. What do you think about it?
